Take the Risk

Life has its scary and uncomfortable moments and the last thing anyone ever wants to do is step out of his or her comfort zone. You don’t know how a situation will end up and unfortunately that scares the crap out of people. We like to have control over our lives and when that’s threatened we freak out. It causes unnecessary anxiety and stress and in the end, you don’t end up “living” your life because you were to busy worrying about how things would turn out.
Unless you learn to take the risk.
You should always do the things that scare you because in the end this is how you will grow. If you see someone you want to get to know then go up to them and start a conversation. The worst they can say is no. Its cliché but its true. Don’t second guess sending messages or starting conversations, just do it. Travel, love, do whatever it is that you’re shying away from and just live a little. There’s a risk to everything you do in life and unless you choose to take that risk and step out of your comfort zone, you’re not going to get the most out of your life. In fact, you’ll probably just end up with a bunch of regrets.
We, as people, feel as if we lack the confidence to try something new. We tell ourselves that’s not how we are or that’s something I would never do its just not me, when in reality you can change who you are at any given moment. Everyone one of us has the confidence it takes we just have to find it in us. Its not going to appear in a moments notice, but it’s a part of you. We all have the opportunity to turn our lives around and change who we are whenever we feel like it. Taking these risks will help you uncover that side of yourself and you’ll be much happier when you do. Instead of feeling like you’re spending most of your time being anxious, you’ll feel much more satisfied with your life and where you are heading.

So do it, take the risk. Whatever it is you are questioning doing at this moment, stop and just go for it. Life is so extremely short and I don’t think anyone realizes that enough. It’s not worth it to constantly worry and the more risks you take, the less worrying you’ll end up doing. You may get discouraged or let down along the way but when you learn not to care and realize it won’t matter in the long run you’ll be much more comfortable with it. You just have to get out there and start living the life you want to be. Everyone’s got to start somewhere, so why not now?

Here Is How You Are Ruining Your Life Every Morning

Your alarm goes off, you roll over and wake up, what’s the first thing on your mind? The exam you have today? Work? Something you’re avoiding? You finally manage to pull yourself out of bed and get ready for the day. You look in the mirror and hate everything you see Not skinny enough Skin not clear enough Hair not long enough You say today will be a good day but you go on continuing your everyday routine. When you wake up and the first thoughts running through your mind all morning are negative ones, you’re setting your mindset to be a negative one. You’re basically setting yourself up for a bad day. You don’t choose to fix anything, instead you choose to complain. It’s easier to complain though, isn’t it? But the thing is, every single morning you have a choice. Everything in life is a choice. You can choose to dread something happening that day, you can choose to feel crappy about your appearance, and you can choose to be unhappy. You chose who you are and eve...

Slow Down

Life has been pretty freaking crazy this past year. The moment after graduating college and being thrown out into the real world is just as confusing as everyone says. Everyone's in a different stage of their life at this point. Some are working full time while others are struggling to find a job. Some are getting engaged or having children, while others are still blacking out every weekend. And some are moving out on their own, while others are still living with their parents. Its honestly difficult not to feel lost because no one is on the same page anymore and we are constantly comparing ourselves to where everyone else is at. Personally, I have been the most stressed I have ever been my whole life this past year. It may not be much, but it's enough for me to notice. I graduated college and was lucky enough to get offered a full time position at my first job interview. Exciting right? Except now all I can think about is how much money I’m not making, my student ...

On The Road To Happiness

A few months ago my world kind of just stopped. This time last year my life seemed like it was in the perfect place, I was happy. I had amazing friends, an even more amazing family, and I was over all just in a really great place in my life. But then my mom got sick along with my two grandfathers. Life just got, sad. There’s really no other way to put it. I had three extremely important people in my life pass away within a few months of each other. Loss is difficult, I understand that, but having to watch my mom suffer for the summer and pass away at such a young age in my life really effected me in a way that I don’t think many people can understand. I just couldn’t be the same constantly happy, and positive person I was before this. Surprisingly though I didn’t get as depressed as I expected to. Obviously it was a lot to handle and didn’t really come as an initial shock at first but when it hit, it hit hard. But, as known from previous posts of mine I got through this by follo...
